ऑर्डर करने से पहले कुछ बातें जान लें:

Performance

इस plan के पीछे का server Vilnius, Lithuania में स्थित है, इसलिए मैंने एक के बजाय दो अलग GTmetrix tests चलाए, एक Frankfurt, Germany से, जो actual server के काफ़ी करीब है, और दूसरा San Antonio, Texas से, जो Atlantic के दूसरी ओर स्थित है।

Server के पास की location से testing करने पर कुछ ऐसा number मिलता है जो best-case के अधिक करीब होता है, दूर की location से testing करने पर यह दिखता है कि किसी दूसरी continent पर मौजूद वास्तविक visitor को क्या अनुभव होगा, और दोनों को साथ-साथ चलाना ही यह जानने का एकमात्र तरीका है कि performance server के अपने region के बाहर भी कायम रहती है या नहीं।

Result दूरी से जो उम्मीद की जा सकती है, उसके उलट चलता है। Frankfurt Vilnius के कहीं अधिक करीब है बनिस्बत San Antonio के, फिर भी Frankfurt test हर metric में धीमा आया, और gap छोटा नहीं है। केवल backend time 43ms in the US test से बढ़कर 494ms in the European test हो गया, यानी उस एक number पर ग्यारह गुना अंतर, जो यह दर्शाता है कि page browser तक पहुँचने से पहले server ने उसे generate करने में कितना समय लगाया।

वही backend gap वह number है जो वास्तव में table के बाकी हिस्से को समझाता है। ऐसा jump caching state difference की ओर संकेत करता है बजाय raw network distance के, एक test संभवतः page की cached copy पर पहुंचा, जो तुरंत serve करने के लिए तैयार थी, जबकि दूसरे ने उसी specific request पर Drupal को page scratch से render करने के लिए trigger किया।

Hostinger का CDN इस plan पर Drupal की अपनी internal page cache के साथ default रूप से active रहता है, और इनमें से कोई एक, या दोनों साथ मिलकर, बिल्कुल ऐसा pattern पैदा कर सकते हैं, एक तेज़, cache-served response एक location से और एक धीमा, freshly-generated response दूसरी से, चाहे वे Vilnius के physically कितने भी करीब क्यों न हों।

इसका plain terms में मतलब यह है। एक बार page cache हो जाने के बाद, geography लगभग मायने नहीं रखती, San Antonio result साबित करता है कि दूसरी continent का visitor भी इस Drupal site को आधे सेकंड से कम में load कर सकता है।

फिर भी, cache state की परवाह किए बिना जिन numbers का महत्व है, वे मजबूत रहे। Total Blocking Time दोनों tests में zero रहा, यानी page ने JavaScript के कारण visitor को इंटरैक्ट करने से पहले कभी इंतज़ार नहीं कराया। Layout shift भी दोनों runs में लगभग zero ही रहा, इसलिए page settle होते समय स्क्रीन पर कुछ भी उछला नहीं, जो एक वास्तविक usability point है, खासकर इसलिए क्योंकि किसी चीज़ पर जल्दी click करने के निर्देश अक्सर CDN-heavy setups को सबसे ज़्यादा दंडित करते हैं।

Ease of Use

Hostinger Drupal hosting को एक अलग product page के रूप में बेचता है, न कि generic shared hosting plan के रूप में जिसमें Drupal का उल्लेख बाद में किया गया हो।

इससे मैंने यहां वास्तव में क्या test किया, वह तय हुआ। मैंने scratch से signup किया, real plan के लिए भुगतान किया, और फिर account panel तथा site-level dashboard, जो इसके साथ bundled आता है, के भीतर समय बिताया, यह जांचते हुए कि क्या कोई ऐसा व्यक्ति जिसने कभी Hostinger को पहले नहीं छुआ, Drupal site चला सकता है और दिन-प्रतिदिन उसका management कर सकता है बिना पहले किसी support article को खोले।

1. Registration

Drupal hosting page एक headline, website बनाने के लिए Drupal-optimized hosting वाली short line, और एक अकेले Start now button के साथ खुलती है।

इस पर क्लिक करने से signup form नहीं खुलता, यह सिर्फ page को pricing plans तक scroll कर देता है, इसलिए वास्तविक decision-making empty account form की बजाय वहीं शुरू होती है।

तीन tiers side by side हैं:

मैंने Premium चुना, क्योंकि एक Drupal test site जिसमें बाद में दूसरी जोड़ने की गुंजाइश हो, इस review की जरूरतों के लिए entry single-site tier से बेहतर मेल खाती थी।

इसके बाद cart खुला, जिसमें billing period पहले से 48 months पर set था और Best value चिह्नित था। Dropdown पर क्लिक करने से अन्य options दिखे, 1 month, 12 months, और 24 months, हर एक का अपना monthly rate था। मैंने इसे 48 months पर ही रहने दिया।

Plan के ठीक नीचे, cart ने Secure your domain search box के माध्यम से पहले वर्ष के लिए free domain की पेशकश की, साथ ही दो confirmations पहले से order पर लागू थीं, एक free domain claim और पहले वर्ष के लिए दो free mailboxes।

मैंने एक domain खोजा, वह बिना किसी extra line item के order से जुड़ गया, और मैं checkout पर आगे बढ़ गया।

फिर मैं payment पर गया। चूंकि मैं पहले से एक मौजूदा Hostinger account में logged in था, flow सीधे billing address और payment step पर चला गया।

मैंने saved card पर payment submit किया। यही पूरा checkout था, कोई extra confirmation step नहीं, कोई अतिरिक्त form नहीं। मैं सीधे hPanel में पहुंच गया, जहां नया plan पहले से listed था, और purchase की पुष्टि करने वाला अलग receipt email भी आ गया।

Registration के बारे में मेरी राय। यह किसी भी hosting company के मानक से एक साफ़ checkout है, मुख्यतः क्योंकि Hostinger screens की संख्या कम रखता है, plan, period और domain, billing और payment, done. Free domain और दो mailboxes को सीधे cart में bundle करना, उन्हें अलग add-ons के रूप में upsell करने के बजाय, एक अच्छा touch है।

जिस चीज़ की चिंता करनी चाहिए, वह है billing period default. यह सबसे लंबे term पर खुलता है, सबसे छोटे पर नहीं, इसलिए on-screen दिखने वाली price को short-term commitment का full picture मानने से पहले उस dropdown को जांच लेना चाहिए।

2. Dashboard/Client Area

भुगतान के तुरंत बाद, hPanel अपने मुख्य account screen पर खुला, और इस screen के बारे में ईमानदार होना मददगार है।

यह Drupal-specific control panel नहीं है। यह account से जुड़े हर product, domains, email, website builder, AI agents, और कोई भी VPS या hosting plan, सभी के लिए एक single hub है, जो इस बात से परे एक ही home feed साझा करते हैं कि कौन सा product आपको यहां लाया।

उस home screen के ऊपर आपका नाम, AI prompt bar के साथ, फिर shortcut buttons मिलते हैं: Get domain, Create website, Get email, Try vibe coding, Migrate site, Get VPS, और Try email marketing।

इसके नीचे account के लिए सामान्य रूप से कई promotional panels हैं, AI के साथ site बनाना, online store सेट अप करना, free business email claim करना, AI agents के साथ काम करना, Hostinger’s Discord में शामिल होना, और free domain claim करना, जिनमें से कोई भी मैंने अभी खरीदे हुए Drupal plan से संबंधित नहीं है।

और नीचे, Your to-dos section में कई pending account items दिखे, असंबंधित बचे हुए जैसे अधूरा Reach email marketing setup और unclaimed free email address, साथ में Show more link जिससे पहली कुछ items के बाद और विस्तृत किया जा सके। इसके नीचे, Your business section में account से जुड़ी हर website सूचीबद्ध थी, और केवल page के नीचे hosting plans और VPS instances के लिए dedicated table दिखाई दी, जिसमें हर row hostname, IP address, status, और expiration date एक नज़र में दिखाती थी, बिना click किए।

“Your business” के अंतर्गत, मुझे अपनी Drupal site मिली।

हालांकि, मैं इसे बाईं sidebar में Websites पर क्लिक करके भी पा सकता था, जिससे view केवल hosting plans तक सीमित हो गया। वह page Premium plan card पर खुला, ऊपर expiry date दिखाई गई, और उसके नीचे hostadvice.tech listed था, साथ में Tools dropdown और Dashboard button।

Dashboard के बारे में मेरी राय। hPanel एक account-wide hub के रूप में काम करता है, लेकिन इसे Hostinger के पूरे catalog के लिए बनाया गया है, न कि सिर्फ Drupal hosting खरीदने वाले किसी व्यक्ति के लिए, और यह इस बात में दिखता है कि login और actual site record के बीच कितना cross-selling मौजूद है।

एक नए user को यह जानना होता है कि home feed में नई purchase के ऊपर दिखने की अपेक्षा sidebar में Websites पर जाना है। एक बार सही site card तक पहुंचने पर, हालांकि, सब कुछ वहां से साफ़ तरीके से संकुचित हो जाता है।

3. Hosting Management

फिर मैंने पूरा left sidebar खोला ताकि देख सकूं कि यह dashboard वास्तव में क्या-क्या कवर करता है:

इनमें से कुछ ने ऐसे findings दिए जिन्हें थोड़ा गहराई से देखने की जरूरत है।

Hosting Plan > Plan Details site के live और www URLs, उसका IP address, और underlying resource allocation सूचीबद्ध करता है।

Performance > AI Troubleshooter ने अपने आप automated scan चलाया और site को optimized बताया, बिना मेरे manual test trigger किए।

Analytics dashboard में सीधे built in है, bandwidth, total requests, country breakdown, और access logs तथा 4xx या 5xx error codes के लिए अलग tabs को tracking करता है, time range के अनुसार filterable।

Security > Malware Scanner अपने पहले pass में clean चला, और page स्पष्ट रूप से कहती है कि scan केवल site files को cover करता है, database content को नहीं, और जो भी गहरी जांच चाहता है उसके लिए paid cleanup option दिया गया है। scan की सीमाएं पहले से साफ़ बताना, बजाय यह संकेत देने के कि यह पूरी coverage है, सही कदम है।

Domains > Subdomains एक plain create form, subdomain name, target domain, और optional custom folder assignment के साथ empty state पर खुला। Parked domains और redirects उसी menu में रहते हैं।

Website > Auto Installer वही जगह है जहां Drupal-specific detail वास्तव में सामने आई। Installed Applications table में पहले से Drupal listed था, जो सीधे hostadvice.tech से linked था, यह पुष्टि करते हुए कि यह इस specific plan के signup का हिस्सा बनकर अपने आप install हुआ था, न कि बाद में मुझे खुद triggered one-click install के रूप में करना पड़ा। नीचे दिए गए one-click install cards सिर्फ WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, और generic Other option को cover करते हैं, Drupal को fresh one-click install के रूप में यहां नहीं दिया गया क्योंकि plan पहले से इसे चलाकर आता है।

Level of Support

Hostinger इस plan को दो channels के साथ support करता है जिन्हें मैं सीधे test कर सका, live chat और self-serve Help Center।

Live chat सीधे Kodee, Hostinger के AI support agent, में खुलती है, किसी human के जुड़ने से पहले।

Kodee कोई scripted chatbot नहीं है जो सिर्फ help articles वापस चिपका दे, Hostinger ने इसे Model Context Protocol के साथ account-level access पर बनाया है, इसलिए यह live site पर वास्तविक settings जांच सकता है और, दूसरे products पर, सीधे बदलाव भी कर सकता है, सिर्फ उनका वर्णन नहीं।

ज़रूरत पड़ने पर conversation को escalate करने के लिए पीछे एक live agent भी होता है। मैंने दोनों channels को अलग-अलग test किया, पहले live chat, फिर Help Center को अकेले।

1. Live Chat (Kodee)

मैंने chat खोली और Drupal के cron mechanism के बारे में एक दो-भाग वाला technical question पूछा, कि यहां hPanel का cron system Drupal को Drush के जरिए trigger करता है या HTTP के माध्यम से, और क्या उस cron run के लिए PHP limits वही हैं जो normal page loads पर लागू होती हैं।

Kodee ने memory से जवाब नहीं दिया। उसने कहा कि वह hostadvice.tech को सीधे जांचेगा, पुष्टि की कि account पर Drupal installed है, और जवाब देने से पहले site की वास्तविक PHP configuration निकाल ली।

Kodee ने SSH के जरिए CLI memory और execution limits सीधे जांचने के लिए एक one-line PHP snippet भी दिया, बजाय इसके कि मुझे खुद अनुमान लगाने दे।

मैंने एक follow-up के साथ और आगे बढ़ाया। चूंकि यह shared Premium plan है, VPS नहीं, मैंने पूछा कि Drush default रूप से account के साथ आता है या Composer के जरिए install करना पड़ता है, और क्या hPanel का cron system ऐसे script को भी चला सकता है जो Composer packages पर निर्भर हो।

वह जवाब और भी गहरा था। Kodee ने पुष्टि की कि shared plan पर Drush preinstalled नहीं है, फिर इस account के file path, /home/u376535993/domains/hostadvice.tech/public_html, के लिए scoped exact Composer install command दिया, कोई generic placeholder path नहीं।

उसने पुष्टि की कि hPanel का Custom cron type bare script name के बजाय full shell command स्वीकार करता है, इसलिए Composer-installed Drush binary ठीक काम करती है, और shell direct इस्तेमाल न करने वालों के लिए एक PHP wrapper दूसरा option के रूप में दिया।

जवाब के बाद तीन quick-action suggestions आईं, जो SSH access, custom cron job बनाना, या Drush को Composer के जरिए install करना, इन सब पर मार्गदर्शन देने की पेशकश कर रही थीं, और हर एक एक वास्तविक next step था, न कि सामान्य “अगर आपको कुछ चाहिए तो बताएं”।

Live chat के बारे में मेरी राय। यह Hostinger पर अब तक किए गए सभी tests में सबसे मजबूत live chat exchange है।

दोनों answers live account से लिए गए थे, documentation से नहीं, दूसरा answer ने generic placeholder के बजाय account के वास्तविक file path का उपयोग किया, और max_execution_time का CLI पर लागू न होना वाली correction वह detail है जिसे support agent तभी बताएगा जब वह वाकई CLI के बाहर PHP के व्यवहार को समझता हो, न कि सिर्फ Hostinger panel को।

एक वास्तविक Drupal site चलाने वाले reader को, cron jobs configure करते समय, यहां documentation article की ओर इशारा नहीं बल्कि एक सटीक, actionable answer मिलता है।

2. Help Center

Help Center एक search bar के साथ खुलता है जो category tiles की grid के ऊपर स्थित है, हर tile पर article count लिखा है, ताकि आप click करने से पहले ही किसी topic की depth का अंदाज़ा लगा सकें।

इस page पर कोई dedicated Drupal category नहीं है। यह मायने रखता है, क्योंकि Ubuntu VPS hosting को इसी site पर अपनी अलग, अच्छी तरह भरी हुई knowledge base section मिलती है, और Drupal को यहां वही treatment नहीं मिलता।
